On October 31st, the Board of Directors of International Mediation Institution (IMI) has unanimously elected Mr. Tat Lim – VMC Mediator - as the new Chair. Vietnam Mediation Center (VMC) would like to congratulate Mr. Tat Lim with his new position and wish him success in the promotion of ADRs in general and mediation in particular in dispute resolution.

[News] VMC admits 03 New Mediators to List of Mediators, October 2024

In October 2024, Vietnam Mediation Centre (VMC), a division of Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), is pleased to announce the admission of 03 foreign legal experts to VMC’s List of Mediators, bringing the total of Listed Mediators to 72, including 18 of 8 different foreign nationalities. They are all experienced lawyers and leading experts regionally and internationally in ADRs in general and mediation in particular.

On April 19 & 20, 2024, in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Mediation Centre (VMC), a division of Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), successfully organized the Training course on Mediator Skills (Advanced Course). Following the success of the basic courses organized by VMC, this advanced course focused on the specialized skills Mediators in the dispute resolution process.

On 9 December 2023, Mr. Phan Trong Dat – Acting Director of Vietnam Mediation Centre (VMC) – a division of Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), represented VMC to participate as a speaker in the Skills Training Course for Lawyers Participating in International Commercial Mediation. Within the framework of the "Improving the quality and efficiency of lawmaking and law enforcement in Vietnam" (JICA project for 2021-2025), this course was organized by the Vietnam Bar Association and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to help participants gain more knowledge and skills about international commercial mediation.
