Following the COVID-19 pandemic, international trade witnessed a robust recovery and growth, resulting in a significant increase in both the number and value of transactions. Consequently, the number of disputes has also increased, with a concomitant increase in complexity. In this context, businesses are particularly interested in resolving disputes effectively through alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods, particularly mediation and arbitration. In order to use these methods effectively, it is important for businesses and ADR users not only to possess a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental knowledge and skills required, but also need to keep up with the trends in dispute resolution practice.

With the aim of updating and assessing international dispute resolution trends, as well as identifying challenges to be considered in the dispute resolution process, the Vietnam Mediation Center (VMC) under the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC) and Singapore International Mediation Center (SIMC) hold the talkshow "International Dispute Resolution in the Post-Pandemic Context: Trends and Challenges"

In Vietnam, commercial mediation is gradually asserting its role and potential. When participating in economic relations, the occurrence of disputes and conflicts between the parties is inevitable, the choice of dispute settlement method is extremely important, in which the commercial mediation method is very important. It is one of the best ways to resolve disputes.
