The seminar aims to raise awareness on the need for harmonization of commercial laws in ASEAN and provides a platform for fostering dialogue between public and private entities involved in cross-border trade. The seminar identifies obstacles and the benefits of harmonization and discusses the priorities for harmonization, in particular on the legal framework for contracts, e-commerce and alternative dispute resolution.
The Seminar will be relevant for public officials involving in trade and development, foreign affairs, judiciaries and other relevant public agencies, academics, research institutes and think tanks, private sector, other representatives form UNCITRAL -RCAP, Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), Thailand International Arbitration Centre and law firms from each ASEAN country.
The Seminar will take place on 4 and 5 September 2017 at Arnoma Hotel, Bangkok.
